DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE:

"This grant has opened an avenue of opportunity for collaborations amongst the consortium members and many outside organizations. RE-CAST plans to carry out multi-scale and multi-disciplinary studies to investigate the use of innovative materials and structural systems to enhance the durability and sustainability of the transportation infrastructure. The ultimate goal of the proposed research program is to fast-track the acceptance of these technologies and develop national standards and guidelines for the reconstruction of the nation’s infrastructure for the 21st Century."

HISTORY:

This consortium was one of three Centers selected to address the U.S.DOT’s strategic goal of State of Good Repair.
